Field ops

Photos on the job, not in a text thread

Field photos buried in personal texts disappear when you need them for warranties, callbacks, or billing disputes.

Roofing crew on a job

Text threads feel fast until a warranty claim, a callback, or an invoice dispute shows up. Then nobody can find the before photo—or the phone that held it.

Capture against the job, not the contact

Photos should attach to the job ID automatically: before, during, after, and any change-order evidence. That is the only way office, warranty, and billing teams can retrieve them months later.

Make the checklist short enough to finish

Techs skip photo steps that feel like busywork. Require the minimum that protects the company—condition, completed work, and anything the customer signed for—and keep optional shots optional.

Use photos in the next conversation

When CSRs and estimators can open the same gallery, follow-ups get sharper and change orders get approved faster. Photos earn their keep when they inform the next decision—not when they sit unused in a camera roll.
